Virginian Pilot December 19, 1966

Mrs. Ellen (Nellie) White Gordon of 4625 John Alden Road, the widow of Robert D. 
Gordon Sr., died Sunday at 1:!5 p.m. in a Portsmouth hospital.
A lifelong resident of Norfolk and Virginia Beach, she was a daughter of William 
H. and Mrs. Mary Ellen Cotton White.
She was a member of St, Gregory Catholic Church, Virginia Beach.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn G. Merritt and Mrs. Margaret G. Wilgus 
of Virginia Beach; three sons, Robert D. Gordon of Ayden, N.C.; two sisters, 
Mrs. Evelyn Doughty of Virginia Beach and Mrs. Lillian M. Klucz of Norfolk; two 
brothers, Joseph White of Accomack and Leo White of Portsmouth; 12 
grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
The body will be taken from Ewell & Williamson Funeral Home to Blessed Sacrament 
Catholic Chapel, Colley Avenue for a funeral service Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial 
will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.  The Rosary will be said in the funeral home 
tonight at 7:30

1966, at 1:15 PM, Mrs. Mary Ellen White Gordon, wife of the late Robert D. 
Gordon, Sr. The body will be taken from the Ewell & Williamson Funeral Home to 
the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Chapel, Colley Avenue, for funeral services 
Tuesday morning, December 20, 1966, at 11 o'clock. Friends of the family are 
invited to attend. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
