Virginian-Pilot June 14, 1928
Mrs. Virginia Lee Gorgas, widow of Charles S. Gorgas, died at her residence, 116 
Thirty-second street, at 2:30 a.m. yesterday. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. 
J. A. D. Parris, of Norfolk, and a son, Charles A. Gorgas, of New York City; two 
sisters, Mrs. Nanny Ashley and Mrs. L. O. Ayers, and one brother, John L. 
Pebworth, all of Norfolk, and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at the residence tomorrow afternoon at 4 
o'clock. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
