Gorgas, assistant to Observer Gray at the United States Weather Bureau in this city, died suddenly at his residence, on North Marshall Avenue, Brambleton Ward, at 1:30 o’clock yesterday morning. Mr. Gorgas had been complaining of feeling unwell on Friday and remained at home that day, but was up and about the house until 10 o’clock that night, when he was seized with a violent attack. A physician was summoned to his bedside, but in spite of every effort to save him he expired at the hour mentioned. The deceased was 38 years old, was born in the state of New York, but has resided here with his family since September. He leaves a wife and two children, who are sorely bereaved by his untimely demise. The funeral will be held from the residence at 3 o’clock this afternoon.
