He died at the residence, 532 Warren Crescent. Mr. Gorman's body was found in the bathtub by members of the family at 2:10 p.m. The gas heater was burning, fumes having spread from the room to other parts of the house and water was running into the tub. A pulmotor was rushed to the residence in an effort to revive him. The death was unquestionably an accident, Dr. C.D.J. MacDonald, city coroner, said after an investigation. The metal hose joining the gas connection and the heater had several leaks in it. No inquest is necessary, he said. Former Revenue Commissioner Mr. Gorman, son of the late Thomas and Mrs. Catherine Farren Gorman, was a native of Richmond and had spent practically his entire life in Norfolk. Active in civic and political life, one of his first positions was that of commissioner of revenue under W.W. Dey, nearly 45 years ago. He later was named city collector, an office which he held until defeated in 1913. He then served for a number of years in the city treasurer's office. Justice 12 Years For the past 12 years, Mr. Gorman had served as a justice of the peace, attached to the First Precinct. Gordon; one son, Edward James Gordon, Jr., both of Bon Air and two sisters, Misses Mary J. and Catherine Gorman, both of this city. Funeral services will be conducted at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, of which Mr. Gorman was a member, tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary services will be conducted at the residence tonight at 8:30 o'clock. ************************************************************************* Edward James Gorman - Funeral services for Mr. Gorman, who died Sunday at the residence, 532 Warren Crescent, were held yesterday at 10 o’clock at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with the Rev.
