Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark August 28, 1913

James Gorman, aged 30 years, who for the past ten months had been employed as 
orderly at St. Vincent's hospital, where he was highly esteemed, died yesterday 
afternoon after a long illness. He is survived by his widow and one child. The 
funeral will take place from H.D. Oliver's Funeral Apartments, East Freemason 
Street, Friday morning at 10 o'clock. The service will be conducted by Rev. 
Father E.J. Walsh of St. Mary's and the interment will be in St. Mary's 
Cemetery.

The funeral of James Gorman was held at the apartments of Funeral Director H. D. 
Oliver, 610-612 Freemason street, at 10 a.m. yesterday. The service was 
conducted by Rev. E. J. Walsh of St. Mary’s Catholic church. The interment was 
in St. Mary’s cemetery. The following were the pallbearers: James F. Holihan, S. 
Thomas Holmes, J. B. McGrath, Walter J. Parsons.
