Virginian-Pilot August 29, 1899
Mr. George Gornto, who had been sick for some time at his room, near Princess Anne 
avenue, and was sent to St. Vincent's Hospital by the King's Daughters one week 
ago, died at that institution Sunday morning. He was buried by the city in the 
"poor square" in Elmwood Cemetery yesterday afternoon. The services at the grave 
were conducted by Rev. Lloyd T. Williams, of Trinity M. E. Church.
