Gosney, wife of B.F. Gosney, a well known and esteemed lady, died yesterday morning at 9 o'clock at the family residence in Bainbridge street, South Norfolk, after a lingering illness. The deceased was a native of North Carolina, but had been living in this section for the past twenty-five years. She was 54 years of age and leaves her husband and two children. Mrs. Gosney was a very prominent lady and had a large circle of friends. She was an active member of the church and was well known for her benevolent deeds. The funeral takes place from the above residence on Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock and will be conducted by Rev. R.B. Scott, pastor of Liberty Street M.E. Church. The remains will be laid to rest in Magnolia Cemetery.
