Graham Dies Yesterday Widely Known Railroad Man Succumbs to Heart Trouble Was With N & W for 25 Years Edgar M. Graham, general agent in Norfolk for the Norfolk and Western Railroad died at 9:45 o’clock yesterday morning at his home, 416 Fairfax Avenue, after an attack of heart trouble. Mr. Graham had been sick for two days but his illness was not considered serious until a few minutes before his death. His wife, two daughter and one son were at his bedside at the time. Another son Edgar Graham, had left the house less than an hour before Mr. Graham’s death, unaware of the gravity of his father’s condition. Mr. Graham was born in Lynchburg March 2, 1857. For twenty-five years he was an employee of the Norfolk and Western, and since 1904 he had been connected with the Norfolk office of that road. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Carrie Snead Graham; four daughters, Audrey, Susan, Sarah and Caroline Graham; two sons, William S. and J. Edgar Graham; two sisters and a brother. The funeral will be conducted from the residence at 11 o’clock tomorrow morning. Rev. D. W. Howard, of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Henry G. Barbee, president of the Chamber of Commerce, has appointed the following men as representative of the Chamber at Mr. Graham’s funeral: J. H. Cofer, G. F. Birdsong, C. L. Candler, George S. Shafer, S. M. Adsit, E. D. Kyle and F. H. Smith.
