NORFOLK - Leo Robert Granahan, 72, went to be with the Lord Dec. 13, 2008. Leo was 
born July 3, 1936, in Erie, Pa., to the late Leo P. and Eva Granahan. Leo proudly 
served in the U.S. Navy for 30 years retiring as a master chief.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Laura Flo Granahan; his daughter, 
Eva G. Clarke and husband James III of Carlisle, Pa.; stepson, Larry P. Boatner 
and wife Yvonne of Humble, Texas; stepdaughter, Sheree Ware of Memphis, Tenn.; 
grandsons, James Clarke IV and Leo P. Clarke, both of Carlisle and John Christian 
Boatner of Humble; granddaughters Laurie Boatner of Austin, Texas, and Laura Lee 
of Memphis.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Altmeyer Funeral 
Home, 5792 Greenwich Road, Virginia Beach. A committal service with military 
honors will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Norfolk. The family will 
receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6 to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the 
American Cancer Society, 4416 Expressway Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23452. To share
