Norfolk Virginian May 16, 1896
The funeral of the late Mr. William H. Granberry, who died Wednesday last, was 
held from Epworth M. E. Church at 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon, the services 
being conducted by Rev. W. J. Young, D.D., pastor of that church. The exercises 
were very largely attended; among the number present being Bishop J. C. Granberry, 
a brother of the deceased, accompanied by his son, Winston. Rev. W. B. Beauchamp, 
of Richmond, was also there. The interment was in Elmwood Cemetery, a large throng 
of friends and relatives following the remains to the grave, which was covered 
with beautiful floral offerings.
