Virginian-Pilot April 21, 1941
Mrs. Frances Cooke Grandy, widow of Frank Louis Grandy, and daughter of the late 
Dr. Armistead Mason and Mrs. Mary Louisa Todd Cooke, a native and former well-
known resident of Norfolk, died at Baltimore, Md., Saturday evening, April 19, 
1941.
Mrs. Grandy is survived by two daughters, Mrs. William Halsey, of Honolulu, and 
Mrs. Wallis Gearing, of Belle Haven, Va.; a son, Frank Louis Grandy, of New 
York; three grandchildren, and one brother, William M. Cooke, of Norfolk, and 
several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the chapel of the H. D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments, 1501 Colonial avenue, tomorrow at 12 o'clock noon. Burial will be in 
Elmwood Cemetery.
