Dennis Grandy, aged and well known Southside citizen died Feb. 26, at the home of 
Mrs. Lucy Houghton of 807 Berkley avenue after a long illness. Funeral services 
were held from the New Hope Christian Church Feb. 29 with the Rev. C. E. Upton 
officiating, assisted by the Rev. Elijah Wilson. Interment was in the Mt. Olive 
Cemetery with the Chatman Funeral Home in charge.
