Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, June 26, 2002 
Esther L. Granger of the 200 block of Rockaway Ave. died June 21, 2002, in
Brookdale Hospital, Brooklyn.

Born in South Carolina, she retired as a detail master after 28 years with Earl
Shieb. She was a member of Brownsville Community Baptist Church in New York City.

Survivors include two daughters, Valerie Granger and Cathy Granger, both of
Norfolk; two sons, Felix Granger of Chesapeake and Edward Granger of Norfolk;
her mother, LoVenia McCullough of New York; five sisters; two brothers; nine
grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; Edward L. Granger of Norfolk; and a
host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in New Calvary Baptist Church by
the Rev. Dr. G.G. Campbell. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The remains
will be ready for viewing from 3:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday. The family will assemble
at 2146 Harverford Drive, Chesapeake, at 1 p.m. for the procession.
