The Virginian Pilot Saturday April 24, 1976
NORFOLK - McKinley Grant of 892 St. Paul's Blvd., a native of Jackson, N.C., 
died Friday in a hospital.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Cora Majette of Rich Square, N.C., and 
Mrs. Beulah Washington of Norfolk; three sons, Columbus Grant and Jennie 
Grant of Norfolk, and James Grant of Los Angeles, Calif.; three sisters, 
Mrs. Maggie Deloatch and Mrs. Ruby Ransom of Jackson, and Mrs. Estelle Hall 
of Suffolk; a brother, Ben Grant of Emporia; 27 grandchildren; and more than 
100 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. in Garrett's Community 
Church by the Rev. Henry Nixon Jr. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with 
Jones Funeral Home in charge. The family will assemble at the home of his 
son-in-law and daughter, the Rev. and Mrs. Wilson Washington at 743 
Reservoir Ave.
