Virginian-Pilot July 16, 1948
GRANT, CHARLES SHARP — At a local hospital, Wednesday, July 14, 1948, at 8:40 
o'clock p.m., CHARLES SHARP, husband of Mrs. Hortense Burton Grant and son of the 
late Vice Adm. Albert Weston Grant, USN, and Mrs. Florence Southall Sharp Grant, 
in the 60th year of his age. Remains will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments, No. 1501 Colonial Avenue, to Christ and St. Luke's Church for services 
THIS (Friday) AFTERNOON at 3:30 o'clock. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
