Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch October 16, 1959
NORFOLK - Funeral services for Mrs. Hortense Burton Grant, 80, who drowned in the 
Hague Thursday, will be conducted at Christ and St. Luke's Episcopal Church 
Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to the church.
Mrs. Grant, widow of Charles Sharp Grant, a Norfolk attorney, was a native of 
Roanoke. She had resided in Norfolk since 1920.
She was a daughter of the late Dr. Gervas Storrs Burton and Mrs. Lucy Emily 
Burton.
Mrs. Grant is survived by a cousin, Thomas McConnell of Knoxville, Tenn.
Mrs. Grant resided at 616 Boissevain Ave.
