NORFOLK - Mary Annie Grant of the 1200 block of W. 40th St. died July 29, 2003,
at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Born in Alabama, she was a homemaker and a
Baptist.
The widow of Little Henry Grant, she is survived by four daughters, Caroline
Scott, Marui Williams, Linda Augustus and Patricia Hill; three sons, William
Grant Tatum, L'il Henry Grant III and Tommy Grant, all of Norfolk; three
sisters; six brothers; 26 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a
great-great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be held at noon Tuesday at Goodwill Baptist Church with burial in
Calvary Cemetery. The remains will be ready for viewing Monday from 3:30 to 8
p.m. The family will assemble at the residence at 11 a.m. for the procession.
Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, www.carlosahowardfuneralhome.com,
is handling arrangements.
