Norfolk Virginian April 16, 1895

The funeral of little Herbert Graves took place Sunday afternoon from St. 
Peter's P.E. Church, and was conducted by Rev. Robert Gatewood, assisted by 
Rev. H.N. Quisenberry, of Berkley Avenue Baptist Church. The church was filled 
with relatives and loving friends to pay their last tribute of respect to that 
bright and promising youth.  The following boys acted as pallbearers:  Active 
- Fred Dashiell, Wallace Gibbs, Wilber Jacocks, Richard Billisoly, Samuel 
Prichard and Frank Rudd.  Honorary - Joe Baker, Armistead Dashiell, Crawford 
Rodgers, Bony Hurbert, John Scarboro and Raymon Prichard.  Interment in 
Magnolia Cemetery.
