Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark January 10, 1928

William Armistead Graves, aged 75 years, died at 6:40 o'clock yesterday morning at 
the residence, 4-D North Shore Apartments. He was a native and lifelong resident 
of Norfolk. Besides his wife, Mrs. Clara Rose Graves, he is  survived by one 
daughter, Mrs. Mars Lewis, of Norfolk; one son, Lester R. Graves, of Memphis, 
Tenn.; two grandchildren, Mars Lewis, Jr. and Jessie Chandler Graves; one sister, 
Mrs. Frederick Hardy, of Baton Rouge, La. and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, tomorrow 
morning at 10:30 o'clock. Interment will be private in Elmwood Cemetery.
