Graves, Sr., and Mrs. Rebecca Pullen Graves, a native of Portsmouth and a lifelong resident of this section, died yesterday morning at 3:55 o'clock at a local hospital. Mr. Graves, a retired Government inspector, is survived by a daughter, Miss Elizabeth Hartley Graves, of Virginia Beach; a sister, Miss Daisy Graves; five brothers, Ernest A., David A., Harry L., William H. and Edwin M. Graves, all of Norfolk. He was a veteran of the Spanish-American War. The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial avenue, to Elmwood Cemetery, for services at the grave Thursday at 12 o'clock noon, with the Rev. Sparks W. Melton, D.D., pastor of Freemason Street Baptist Church, officiating.
