Graves died yesterday morning at 1 o'clock, at the family residence, on Liberty Street, after several days' illness, with grip, aged 64 years. She lived a life of usefulness to those about her. She was a consistent member of the Berkley Avenue Baptist Church and always attended services until the infirmities incident to old age came upon her. She leaves to mourn her loss six sons - Messrs. E.A., D.A., Jr., J.P., H.L., W.H. and E.M. Graves; two daughters, Mrs. George V. Dashiell and Miss Daisy Graves; three sisters, Mrs. Leonard Hyslop, Mrs Bettie Sturdevant, of Portsmouth and Miss Jennie Pullen, of Philadelphia; and a brother, Mr. Charles H. Pullen of Philadelphia. The funeral will be conducted from the residence Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock. **************************************************************** The funeral of Mrs. D.A. Graves was conducted from the residence yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock by Rev. T.C. Skinner, of the Berkley Avenue Baptist Church, assisted by Revs. Robt Gatewood, of the Episcopal Church, and M.W. Butler, of Main Street Christian Church. Misses Larrabee and Hundley and Messrs. Willie and M. Pritchard sang a quartette, entitled "Abide With Me." The remains were laid to rest in Magnolia Cemetery amid beautiful floral contributions. The following gentlemen acted as pallbearers: Messrs. M. Miller, Thomas Dashiell, G.H. Kirby, L.B. Allen, John Whetstone, Capt. J.W.H. Wrenn, Charles Colonna and I.O. Diggs.
