Graves, died at her late residence, Reservoir Avenue on Monday morning, March 29, after an illness of several months. The funeral was held from Grace Episcopal Church, of which she was a member, on Thursday afternoon at two-thirty, Rev. B. W. Harris, officiating. There were many very pretty floral design. The body was laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Graves was a native of Lawrenceville, VA, but for a number of years has made her home in Norfolk. The pallbearers were Messrs. G.W.C. Brown, Lomas Peyton, L. Shepherd, Shadrick Smith and Minor Ryals. Out-of-town persons attending the funeral were Messrs. Moses Graves and Hiram Jordan, of New York; Mr. Oscar Graves, of Pittsburgh; Mrs. Estella Owens, of Philadelphia; Mesdames Mattie Coleman, Dora Gladeton and Messrs. George Perry, James Graves and Pittman Graves of Newport News. Mrs. Graves is survived by her husband, Freeman F. Graves, three small children, and the relatives mentioned.
