Mr. William A Graves, of this place, left in a small boat for Mill Creek on Tuesday morning, and was on his return home, when, near the port, he fell overboard, and after a vein effort to seize the bulwarks of the vessel, sunk to rise no more. His body has not yet been found. He has left a wife and several children to lament their sudden and heart rendering affliction. The Beacon Saturday July 6, 1839 The body of Mr. William A. Graves, whose death by drowning was mentioned in Thursday's Beacon, was found floating near the Dry Dock yesterday morning. The verdict of the inquest corresponded with the facts as stated.
