The Norfolk Virginian Pilot February 8, 1953
Horace Sidney Gray, Sr., 80, husband of Mrs. Annie Sagstrom Gray and son of 
the late William H. and Mrs. Salomie Gwaltney Gray, a lifelong resident of 
Norfolk, died at the residence, 3800 Lafayette Boulevard, Friday at 11:10 
p.m.
He was a member of Christ and St. Luke's Episcopal Church.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Edna T. Blake and 
Miss Julia L. Gray, both of Norfolk, and Mrs. Mary E. Pacini, of Baltimore; 
three sons, Horace S. Gray, Jr., Raymond A. Gray and Robert E. Gray, all of 
Norfolk; one sister, Mrs. Mamie Brown, of Washington; seven grandchildren 
and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Ewell and Williamson Funeral Home 
today, at 3:30 p.m. by the Rev. Taylor Willis, D.D., rector of Christ and 
St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
