Educated in the Norfolk and Washington, D.C., schools, she taught in the S.C. Armstrong School here before her marriage to the late Samuel Gray. She was a member of the Bank Street Baptist Church and, for several years, was president of its Woman’s Missionary Society. She was the organizer of Gray’s Council of the Independent Order of St. Luke and was a deputy in that organization. Survivors include a brother, William H. Poole Funeral services will be conducted today at 3:30 p.m. at the Bank Street Baptist Church by the Rev. J. B. Henderson and interment will be in West Point Cemetery.
