Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, April 23, 2002 
Ruth ``Momma Ruth'' Gray of the 900 block of E. Virginia Beach Blvd., died April
19, 2002, at Sentara Nursing Home, Newtown Road. Born in Norfolk, she was a
homemaker and a confirmed Catholic.

The widow of Delmont Gray, she is survived by three daughters, Ernestine Young
of Norfolk, Jean Wicks of Oxon, Md., and Muriel Taylor of Norfolk; two sons,
Arnett Gray of Virginia Beach and William Gray of Irving, Texas; a sister,
Evelyn Barham of New York; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a
host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be held at noon Wednesday at Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home,
Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Robert Lee. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The
remains will be ready for viewing today from 3:30 to 8 p.m. The family will
assemble at 905 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., at 11 a.m. for the procession.
