Norfolk Virginian Pilot January 25, 1942

Edgar E. Gray, aged 52, husband of Mrs. Pearle Wolfe Gray, and son of the late 
J.J. and Mrs. Mattie Cooper Gray, a native and former resident of Norfolk, died 
Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Hines, Ill. Besides his wife, Mrs. Pearle 
Wolfe Gray, of Dayton, Ohio, he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Gray 
Thomas, of Norfolk and Mrs. E.G. Stanley, of Birmingham, Ala.; a nephew, of 
Norfolk and two nieces, of Birmingham, Ala. Funeral arrangements will be 
announced later.

GRAY, EDGAR E - At Hines, Illinois, Thursday, January 22, 1942, at 3 o'clock 
p.m., EDGAR E., husband of Mrs. Pearle Wolfe Gray, and son of the late J.J. and 
Mrs. Mattie Cooper Gray, in the 53d year of his age. Services at the chapel of 
the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, No. 1501 Colonial Avenue, Norfolk, Va., 
TUESDAY AFTERNOON at 3:30 o'clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend.  
Interment, Elmwood Cemetery.
