NORFOLK - Edith Mae Green of the 2400 block of E. Virginia Beach Blvd. 
departed this life Jan. 29, 2010 at Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center. She 
was born in Norfolk, March 15, 1928, the daughter of the late Willie and 
Annie Dailey and was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. She was 
a faithful and devoted member of Refuge Assembly of Yahweh of Norfolk and 
served as a missionary for more than 40 loyal years. 

Edith was predeceased by Clarence Green Sr., her husband of 56 years; three 
children, Andrew Green , Edith Morse and Clarence Green Jr.; and three 
sisters, Christine Dicks, Dorothy Evans and Katherine Kearney. 

She leaves to cherish her memory seven daughters, Delores Dailey, Claristine 
Jones, Annie Collins, Clara Smith (Robert), Brenda Green , Emma Dunston and 
Patricia Crowell and two sons, Willie Dailey and Ronald Green ; one sister, 
Willie Mae Howard of Trenton, N.J.; a daughter-in-law, Joan Green ; and a 
lifetime devoted friend, Pauline Thompson; a host of nieces, nephews, 
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great- great-grandchildren, other 
relatives and devoted friends. 

A funeral will be held at noon Friday, Feb. 5, at Graves Funeral Home Inc., 
1631 Church St., Norfolk, with Bishop E.W. Woodbury officiating. Burial will 
follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m.
