Norfolk - Mrs. Mary Seay Green of 1308 W. 42nd Street, the wife of Claude L. 
Green Sr., died in a hospital after a long illness.

A native of Buckingham County, she was a daughter of the late Robert Lee and 
Mrs. Emily Seay.

She was employed by Remeo Beauty Salon.

She was a member of Female Usher Board 1 of Jerusalem Baptist Church.

Besides her husband, surviving are a son, Claude L. Green Jr of Washington;  two 
daughters, Mrs. Mary M. Forest and Mrs. Naomi E. Mitchell of Norfolk;  a 
brother, Southall Seay of Howardsville;  a sister, Mrs. Emely Cole of 
Washington;  and three grandchildren.

Services were held in Jerusalem Baptist Church by Dr. Thomas Venable.  Burial 
was in Calvary Cemetery with Twilight Funeral Home in charge.
