Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark January 4, 1925

Miss Mary J. Green, 64, died yesterday morning at 9 o'clock at the home of her 
brother, J.D. Wynns, 1205 Allegheny Street.  She was the daughter of the late 
Samuel and Mary Evans Green and was a native of Hertford County, N.C.  She 
made her home here the last 28 years.  In addition to her brother she is 
survived by three nieces.
The body was taken to the funeral home of J.R. Williams, 13 Chesapeake Avenue, 
South Norfolk, where funeral will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2:30 
o'clock.
Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.

Additional Comments:
Changed middle initial from B to J as all census records and city directory 
show middle initial J. Mr. Wynns is a half brother.
