Virginian-Pilot January 14, 1899
The funeral of Mr. Thomas Green, who departed this life at the Norfolk Protestant 
Hospital Friday afternoon, was held from the residence on Poole street, at 3:30 
o'clock yesterday afternoon. Rev. W. T. Williams, pastor of LeKies Memorial M. E. 
Church, conducted the services. The interment was in Elmwood Cemetery.

Additional Comments:
I believe there was a typo in this notice: January 12 was a Thursday and that's 
when he died, with the funeral on Friday the 13th.
