Norfolk - Miss Ruth Ernestine Green of 1311 Bolton street, Norfolk school
teacher for 44 years, died May 7 in her home. She was given a funeral service
Thursday in First United Presbyterian Church and was buried in Calvary Cemetery
with Graves Funeral Home in charge and the Rev. O. J. Wynn officiating.

The Norfolk native was a daughter of Randolph Green and Mrs. Sarah Green. She
was a graduate of Norfolk Mission College and Hampton Institute. She formerly
taught in J. C. Prince and Lindenwood Elementary schools.

She was superintendent of the church Sunday school 30 years, secretary of the
Trustee board and treasurer of the Women's Club.

Surviving are six nieces and two nephews.
