Green, 91, of the 2700 block of E. Virginia Beach Blvd., died peacefully on Feb. 7, 1997 at her home. She was a native of Norfolk and the daughter of the late Lottie and Joseph Young. She was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church Bute Street. She attended the Norfolk public schools and was a graduate of the Dixie School of Nursing (currently known as Hampton University). She was a retired registered nurse from Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. She was predeceased by George H. Green Sr. She leaves to mourn her death a son and daughter-in-law, Clarence E. Johnson Jr. and wife Carrie of Hilltonia, Ga.; grandchildren, Delano E. Johnson Sr. of Norfolk, Bertrum V. Johnson of Suffolk, Christopher M. Johnson Sr. of Chesapeake, Sheryl D. Scott of Chesapeake, Eric V. Johnson of Suffolk; and a very devoted granddaughter-in-law, Mrs. Gladys L. Johnson, wife of Delano Sr. She also leaves behind three sisters, Beatrice E. Taylor of Chesapeake, Evelyn M. Greenfield of Norfolk and Rosa Leigh Davis of Chesapeake; and a host of great-grand and great-great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church Bute Street by the Rev. Dr. Robert G. Murray. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Family and friends will assemble at the residence at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday for the procession to the church. Hale Funeral Home is in charge. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes to have donations made to Sentara Home Care Hospice, Koger Executive Center (NU)8, Warwick Building, Suite 201, Norfolk, Va. 23502, or South Hampton Roads Diabetes American Association, 101 W.
