Virginian-Pilot  January 18, 1924
John A. Green, aged 52, died at a local hospital Wednesday afternoon at 12:50 
o’clock. He resided at 306 Buckingham avenue, Ocean View. He was a member of 
L.O.O.M. and Masters, Mates and Pilots Association. He is survived by his wife, 
Mrs. Annie M. Green, and two children, Madaline R. and Charles A. Green. Funeral 
services will be conducted at the funeral apartments of H. D. Oliver, 610-12 East 
Freemason street, Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock by the Rev. Leo Ryan, of Blessed 
Sacrament Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
