William John Green - Funeral services for Mr. Green took place yesterday morning 
at the Catholic Church of the Blessed Sacrament, service being solemn requiem mass 
with the following clergy officiating: Celebrant, Rev. Leo J. Ryan; deacon, Rev. 
E. V. Mullarkey; sub-deacon, Rev. Michael Hartigan; master of ceremonies, Rev. 
Joseph P. Garcia. Rev. Francis J. McCourt, of Wilmington, N.C., was also present. 
Mrs. James Hughes sang, "Nearer, My God to Thee." The pallbearers were J. E. 
Prince, John Mariner, J. A. Baecher, John F. Lawler, William Walsh, R. R. Quigley, 
George M. Hepple, T. J. Hanlon, M. J. Ryan and John Crowley. Burial was in St. 
Mary’s Cemetery.
