Elnora Grandy Green, 85, of the 900 block of Lexington St., peacefully passed on 
March 1, 2004. She was a native of Elizabeth City, N.C., born to the late Wiley 
and Celia Morris Grandy and was the widow of George Green. 

She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Gloria M. Grandy; one son, 
William Henry Grandy; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-
great-grandchildren; an adopted daughter, Hannah Jones; and a host of nieces and 
nephews. 

A funeral will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in Riddick Funeral Service Chapel with 
the Rev. Angelo Cason officiating. Viewing will be held today from 2 to 8 p.m. 
at the funeral home. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery . The family will 
receive friends at 3221 Dunkirk Ave., Norfolk. www.riddickfuneralsvc.com.
