Green and son of William J. and Mrs. Elizabeth O'Connor Green, a native of Quebec, Canada and a resident of Norfolk for 75 years, died yesterday at 2:45 a.m. at the residence, 204 W. 32nd St. Mr. Green was a member of the Plumbers & Fitters Union 110, of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and of the Holy Name Society. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, W.J. Green and J.E. Green; six daughters, Mrs. Clarence E. Smelser, Miss Mary T. Green, Mrs. B.L. Barry, Mrs. B.E. Swinson, Mrs. J.M. Walker and Mrs. G.L. Desgain, 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, all of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Ellen G. Hozier of Norfolk and Mrs. J.S. Roan of Miami, Fla. and a brother. Michael J. Green of Norfolk. The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for funeral services tomorrow at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary services will be conducted at the funeral apartments tonight at 7:30 o'clock. ******************************************************************************* NORFOLK - Funeral services for John Emmett Green, Sr., who died Monday, were conducted at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church yesterday at 10 a.m. by the Rev. Kenneth M. Rizer. Present in the sanctuary were the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Cannon, the Rev. F. J. Bradican and the Rev. Thomas Summers. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers were C. C. Petersen, Christian Petersen, Joe M. Decker, Maurice L. McCarthy, A. B. Daughtrey, John E. Cooke, Chase Davis and Charles W. Gerloff. Active pallbearers were W. J. Green, Jr., Robert Lee Walker, James M. Walker, Jr., Galen Swinson, John Richard Barry, Edward Leo Barry and George L. Desgain.
