Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark March 22, 1925

Mrs. Chloe Tyler Greene, widow of the late John Newport Greene, a native and 
lifelong resident of Norfolk, died yesterday afternoon at 2:45 o'clock at her 
residence, 317 Boush Street. She was a member of St. Paul's Church. Mrs. Greene 
is survived by one daughters, Miss Urith Newport Greene, of Norfolk; three 
nieces, Mrs. J. Addison Cooke and Mrs. Edward Duffy, of Baltimore and Miss 
Fannie Fortescue Sams, of Norfolk and one nephew, C. Whittle Sams, of Norfolk. 
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1 o'clock at St. Paul's 
Church, the rector, the Rev. H.H. Covington, D.D., officiating. Burial will be 
private in Elmwood Cemetery,
