Norfolk - Staff Sergeant Richard Greene, formerly of Brooklyn, recently died of
wounds suffered in Vietnam.  A rosary service was held in Hale Funeral Chapel
and a funeral service was held for Sgt. Greene in St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

He served approximately 17 years as an Army engineer.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Greene;  a son, Keith Greene of Brooklyn;
 five sisters, Mrs. Barbara Davis of Norfolk, Mrs. Delores Rivers, Mrs. Doris
Johnson, Mrs. Margo Glover and Mrs. Angela Whitmore, all of Brooklyn and two
brothers, Donald and Ronald Green of New York.

Interment was in Calvary Cemetery with full military honors.  Hale Funeral Home
was in charge of arrangements.
