Norfolk - Funeral services were held Sept. 20 from the House of Prayer for all
People, for Mrs. Mary Gregory, who died three days before. Warren Funeral
Service was in charge of the body.

A native of Princess Anne County, Mrs. Gregory came to Norfolk at an early age.
Her first husand was the Rev. George Harris, one of the early pastors of St.
John’s AME Church. Three children were born this union, Annie, Fannie, and
George Harris.

Folowing the death of Rev. Mr. Harris, the deceased married the late Mr.
Gregory. The couple had one son, Jerome.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Fannie Roundtree; two sons, George Harris
and Jerome Gregory; three brothers, one sister, 13 grandchildren, six great
grandchildren and a number of nieces .
