Norfolk Ledger Dispatch October 28, 1938

Mrs. Annie Frances Gregory, aged 83, widow of James Gregory, died last night at 
6 o'clock  at her residence at Gregory's Corner, near Virginia Beach, Princess 
Anne County. She had been ill about two weeks. Mrs. Gregory was a native and 
lifelong resident of Princess Anne County and daughter of Thomas James and Mary 
F. Land. She was a member of the Virginia (Beach) Methodist Church, Virginia 
Beach. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Mary S. Messick; three daughters, Mrs. 
Walter A. Shean, Mrs. Annie L. Drinkwater and Mrs. Ernest L. Miner; a son, James 
G. Gregory, Jr., a brother-in-law, C.C. Gregory and 17 grandchildren and six 
great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Virginia Beach Methodist Church Sunday 
at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
