Norfolk Ledger Dispatch March 14 1925

Funeral services for Mrs. Esther Virginia Gregory, widow of John L. Gregory, who 
died last night at 11:25 o'clock at her home, 1006 West Fairfax Avenue, will be 
held there tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. Frank L. Hardy, D.D., pastor of 
Central Baptist Church, of which she was a lifelong member, will officiate. 
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Gregory was 89 years old. Surviving her are two sons, R.H. Gregory, of 
Ocean View; and J. Wesley Gregory, of Norfolk; and four daughters, Mrs. W.R.  
Keefe, of Chatham, Va.; Mrs. J.N. Butt, of Norfolk County; Mrs. Arthur Brown, of 
Charlotte, N.C; and Miss Lula F. Gregory, of Norfolk.
