The Rev. W. E. Keeling officiated at the service. Burial was in charge of Riddick Funeral Home. A native of Petersburg, Mr. Gregory came to Norfolk at an early age. He was the son of the late Walter Gregory and Mrs. Martha Gregory. He died in Kecoughtan Veterans Hospital. The deceased was employed by Hampton Roads Paper Company for 50 years. He was a member of Eastern Light Lodge and a Mason. He was educated in a Norfolk Catholic school. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Emma Fontanilla Gregory; a son, Earl A. Fontanilla, two daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Whitehead and Mrs. Elizabeth Ward of Norfolk; and a sister, Mrs. Mary Louis Melvin of Hampton. Among those who attended the funeral were friends from Tarboro, NC, Newark NJ, and Lynchburg.
