A charter member of New Calvary Chapel Baptist Church, Mrs. Emma Fontanilla 
Gregory of 2824 Virginia Beach boulevard, received final rites at the Church 
Sunday.

The Rev. W. E. Keeling, pastor of New Calvary chapel, officiated at the service.  
He was assisted by the Rev. C. E. Griffin, pastor of First Calvary Baptist 
Church, mother church of New Calvary Chapel.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery 
with Riddick Funeral Service in charge.  The Orders of Eastern Star and Tents 
conducted rites at the grave.

A native of Henderson, NC, Mrs. Gregory organized the children’s and adult 
women’s missionary leagues at New Calvary Chapel.  Her affiliations included the 
Pastor’s Aid and Missionary Circle.

Survivors are a son, Earl A. Fontanilla;  two daughters, Mrs. Margie F. 
Whitehead and Mrs. Elizabeth Ward of Norfolk;  a sister, Mrs. Pearl Brown of 
Baltimore;  and five grandchildren.
