Mr. Gregory was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, and a son of the late John Wesley Gregory and Mrs. Esther Butt Gregory. He was a member of the Freemason Street Baptist Church, Corinthian Lodge 266, A.F. & A.M.; John Walters Chapter 68, Royal Arch Masons; the Ambassador Square Club and the Maccabees. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Jordan Gregory; a daughter, Mrs. Harriet Neal, also of Norfolk; four sisters, Mrs. Laura Butt, of Norfolk, Mrs. W. R. Keefe, of Atlanta, Mrs. Mattie Brown, of Woodworth, S.C., and Miss Lulie Gregory, of Norfolk; a brother, R. H. Gregory, of Norfolk; three grandchildren, Clyde R. Gregory, Jr., Benjamin Gregory and Earl Warren Neal, all of Norfolk, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Funeral Home of E. Lee Cox & Brother, Westover avenue at Manteo street. The Rev. Sparks W. Melton, D.D., pastor of the Freemason Street Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
