The Virginian Pilot (Norfolk, Va) Saturday August 19, 1950
Mrs. Bessie May Gregory, 49, wife of William Charles Gregory and daughter of 
William Hayhurst and the late Bessie Zimmerman Hayhurst, died at a Norfolk 
hospital yesterday at 2:45.
Besides her husband and father, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Arsenio 
Prudente, Jr., and Mrs. N.T. Garcia; a son, William Charles Gregory, all of 
Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. Charles P. Dozier, of Washington; three brothers, 
A.W., J.L. and G.A. Hayhurst; two half-brothers, Henry Lambert and Robert 
Lambert, all of Norfolk; and three grandchildren.
Mrs. Gregory was a lifelong resident of Norfolk, and resided at 120 West 
Princess Anne Road at the time of her death. She was a member of the Colonial 
Avenue Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow 
at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
