Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, February 24, 1994 
Mattie Gary Gregory died Feb. 22, 1994, in DePaul Medical Center.

For many years, she was a resident of Calvert Park, living on Olney Road. In
1980, she relocated to Sentara Nursing Center in Chesapeake. Her most recent
address was Lafayette Nursing Home in the 3900 block of Llewellyn Ave. in
Norfolk. She was a native of Emporia, Va., the daughter of the late Mance and
Mary Gary and widow of Frank Gregory. She was a very devoted and active member
of New Calvary Baptist Church in Norfolk.

Survivors include a nephew, Wade Malone, Jr. of Plainsfield, N.J.; and two
cousins, Lossie Gary of Norfolk and Octavia Green of Brooklyn, N.Y.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in New Calvary Baptist Church by
the Rev. G.G. Campbell. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Viewing will be
from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Riddick Funeral Service. The body will be placed in
the church at 10 a.m. Saturday.
