Norfolk Virginian Pilot July 13, 1946

Mrs. Katie Downing Gregory, widow of William H. Gregory and daughter of the late 
George W. and Adeline Britt Downing, a lifelong resident of Norfolk, died Friday 
morning at 11:10 o'clock at the residence, 130 West Ninth Street. Surviving are 
a daughter, Mrs. Joe H. Brendall, of Albemarle, N.C.; three sons, William L. 
Gregory, George D. Gregory and John J. Gregory; three sisters, Mrs. James R. 
Liles, Mrs. Allie C. Morecock and Mrs. Percy C. Dozier; and one brother, Edmund 
B. Downing, all of Norfolk; two granddaughters and a number of nieces and 
nephews.
Services will be held at the chapel of the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Monday 
morning at 11 o'clock. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

attend. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery.
