Besides his wife, he is survived by a stepson, James N. Joyner, of Norfolk; one sister, Mrs. F. Garnett Jordan; one brother, G. Brooke Gresham, both of Norfolk and a nephew, Fenton Jordan. Mr. Gresham was a member of Christ and St. Luke's Church and resided at 4401 Newport avenue. The body was removed to the Ewell & Williamson Funeral Home, Thirty-fifth street at Colonial avenue, pending funeral arrangements. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ William Selden Gresham - Funeral services for Mr. Gresham, husband of Mrs. Willie Redd Gresham, whose death occurred Tuesday, will be conducted at the Ewell & Williamson Funeral Home,Thirty-Fifth street at Colonial avenue, this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, the Rev. B.M. Persinger, D.D., pastor of Epworth Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Mr. Gresham was a member of the Wesleymen Bible Class of Epworth Church. Published in the Virginian Pilot January 4,1940: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ William Selden Gresham - Funeral services for Mr. Gresham, whose death occurred Tuesday, were conducted at the Ewell & Williamson Funeral Home yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, the Rev. B.M. Persinger, D.D., pastor of Epworth Methodist Church, officiating. There was a large attendance and many floral tributes. The casket was covered with a double cluster of Easter lilies, pink carnations and stevia. During the services Dr. Persinger read "How Firm a Foundation." Pallbearers were Henry Jordan, Fenton Jordan,Jr., Davis Jordan,Jr., J.L. Casey, George Holmes, Leonard Smith, Joseph Driesell and Brooke Taylor. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery.
