Norfolk Virginian December 25, 1885

GRESHAM - At his late residence, corner Boush and Queen streets, yesterday 
morning at 11 o'clock, of pneumonia, S.S. GRESHAM, Jr., aged 36 years.
The funeral will take place from Christ P.E. Church, TOMORROW (Saturday) at 
12 o'clock.  Friends and acquaintances are invited to attend.

The funeral of S.S. Gresham, Jr. took place from the same church at 12 
o'clock, Rev. Dr. Barten conducting the services, assisted by Rev. J.L. 
Burrows, of the Freemason Street Baptist Church.  The remains were interred 
in Elmwood Cemetery, the pallbearers being Messrs. L. Royster, W. Lane 
Kelly, George McIntosh, W.C. Dickson, A.B. Cooke, Jr. and J.M. Smith.
